Description: Buxom Lucy (Keisha) works as a computer programmer in a hospital that deals with problems of sexual dysfunction. Apparently the clinic only accepts great looking studs such as Marc Wallace and Peter North for treatment, and staffs the place with equally overabundant females. As a matter of fact, on the very first day (the first case, yet!) assistants Tish Ambrose and Lori Lovett decide to make up their own policy on how to deal with patient problems. It's a "hands on" policy, naturally.
Since this wafer-thin concept never gets off the ground, the producers come up with a brilliant idea to pep up this tired old video . . . and the girls order a pizza, delivered by Tom Byron and Randy West. Well, knock me over with a feather! The pizza boy routine is so incredibly innovative that it staggers one's imagination. Especially since Byron is sporting a mustache so thin that even Prince would laugh at it, and West inexplicably is wearing a tux. Since when does it take two guys to deliver a pizza, anyway?
If you haven't fallen asleep by now, we switch you to another exciting locale where Amber Lynn is monitoring the whole affair on surveillance TV. It gets her so hot that . . . she seduces the handyman! (Herschel Savage). Good God, when will this clever innovation end?

Description: SCHOOL FOR DEAD GIRLS, a private residence for wealthy but motley-looking reform-school rejects, run by pretty but prim Mrs. Wellington (Orita De Chadwick), "a harsh disciplinarian." As is quickly made obvious, this is the only school where an F is a goal, not a failing grade. Mrs. W's main duty, however, is keeping Peter, her long-haired, greaseball son, away from the girls. Description: Pornographic Blacksploitation. Quasi, a Black man with a 9 inch tongue lives alone with a pet frog. Since his girl friend left him 2 years ago he has become mute and used by everyone. While playing chess by himself on a park bench he is humiliated by a young woman. He's then sexually taken advantage of by his gay doctor whose nurse hooks him up with her nymphomaniac friend Cherry, played by Briggite Maier, who then proceeds to have her friend Nancy over for a threesome. He constantly dreams of his ex and holds his pet close to a ceramic frog as if to symbolize the meaningless of it all. He walks alone on the beach and stops to stare at a young black couple lying on a towel. The man threatens him and chases him away. He picks some flowers intending to go back to Brigitte's place but when he arrives an orgy in process. He walks along the beach and goes home only to see his ex with a white man.He visits a doctor who immediately tries to abuse him and is then invited to his white neighbor Cherry's house to fix her electricity but becomes trapped in a hateful world of perverse sexuality, leading to his destruction just as his fate had promised.
Tongue is not nearly as depressing as it is just strange and, at times, downright surreal. The film reveals in heavy metaphors, mostly about racism. However, contrary to one's expectations, the film chooses to concentrate on Quasi's own bigotry rather than portraying him as the ultimate victim. It is even hinted that his inability to speak is the metaphorical result of his intolerance.
Set to a well spirited jazz and R & B score, Tongue has a professionalism about it rarely seen in Z Rated films. The photography is sumptuous, the editing tight, and the aforementioned score moody and impressive. Director "K.P." uses the film's urban LA setting as a means to comment on the loneliness of city life and isolation, but also examines the self deprecating nature of Quasi's behavior within his setting.
As we learn more about Quasi, his character becomes less sympathetic and more pitiful. When we finally learn the full extent of his actions, the audiences sympathies are almost turned against him and he sheds and pretentions as a victim. While the film might be a difficult viewing experience for some due to its lack of narrative continuity and sometimes out of nowhere jump-cutting, Tongue is as important of a piece of American black cinema as any and remains a poignant work sure to cause some thought and controversy.
