Description:
The "Dreamers" return us to Paris 1968. The young American dandy Matthew in Cinematheque easily converges with those whom he wants to be like - his brother and sister, the twins Theo and Izoy. Instead of soaking up the frenzied spring Parisian air with their nostrils, preparing for barricades and the biggest clashes in Europe since 1917, a trinity of cinephiles walled themselves up in the four walls of a Parisian bourgeois apartment - parents left for a month, leaving a checkbook. The solution is absolutely logical, because cinema is nothing but the most pronounced way of avoiding reality, from momentary problems. Therefore, all three are disgusted by television, a stylized window into such an uninteresting and predictable world. Let Cinematheque be closed until further notice - the trio has a powerful baggage of frames in their heads, a living wage from Godard, Bresson, Todd Browning, Dietrich and Garbo.
